  • Welcome!

Welcome to my website and blog. My name is Tammy Bronfen and I am an interior designer and color consultant. Since I can remember, I have always loved art and color. Over the years, I also developed a passion for design, and decided to make a career out of what I love!

In design, I strive for balance and harmony, and use materials and color to create spaces that directly reflect your personality and lifestyle. I believe that design should be fun and fresh, and enhance functionality so that the end result is exceptional design that is both functional and gorgeous.

This website and blog is about life, design, inspiration and everything between. Everything inspires me and hopefully I can share some of that inspiration with you.

Light the way

I’ve always been a bit obsessed with light fixtures. Lighting can change an entire space, the way we see colors in the space and basically make or break design, and should be taken into account from as early on in the design process as possible. There are hundreds of fittings that I would love to include in my design, but here are just a few fittings that I heart.

Funky Table Settings

In Israel, we’re almost at the end of Passover week (which is pretty much in parallel to Easter and includes A LOT of eating) and preparing for the Passover meal last week inspired me to look for some colorful and fun table setting ideas. I personally went for turquoise (surprise, surprise) and coral crockery on a neutral beige tablecloth with colorful napkins. I put together some pictures of bright and colorful crockery and table settings. How do you like to set your dinner table?

Look down

Floors don’t have to be neutral. They can be surprising design elements in any space. I personally love floors with an edge. Again, it doesn’t have to be the entire floor in a space. Jazzing up just a small area may be all you need to take your space to a whole new level. Check out these examples (I had to work hard at narrowing them down) for some floor inspiration.

Go bold!

It’s no secret that I love bold design. Whether it’s reflected in color choices, patterns, design elements, I really think bold is beautiful. A bold space doesn’t suit everyone, but if you’re going to go for it, then go for it and don’t tone it down. If you think it will be too much and will dominate your entire space, then rather choose a smaller area but keep the intensity you originally imagined, or choose accessories that give the extra edge to your space. I put together some examples. Enjoy!

Kitchen Renovation

This started as a kitchen renovation, but the decision to remove the wall between the kitchen and the living area actually affected the whole house by opening it up and letting the light in through the gorgeous wall-to-wall kitchen windows. The kitchen island was done at table height and beautiful cement tiles in earthy colors were chosen as a “floor-carpet” under the island, giving the kitchen a special character. In the owner’s words: “ the kitchen renovation and especially the new kitchen island changed our entire house and we now spend a lot of our time there, even doing arts and crafts with the children.”
